The featherweight division is starting to become the fighters who talk the most smack.
First it was Conor McGregor. Now, Cub Swanson and Ricardo Lamas are exchanging “fighting” words.
Both are trying to become the next contender to the UFC featherweight title and Jose Aldo, but nothing has been mentioned regarding the return of “Scarface,” who suffered several injuries in his win over Chan Sung Jung.
“Your scared (Lamas) and if you keep trying to play it safe I’m just gonna step over you,” Swanson wrote on Twitter.
Lamas responded with “(Swanson) no one is scared of you Cubby I already finished you. Quit trying to be a Twitter tough guy.”
In 2011, Lamas submitted Swanson via arm-triangle choke. The back-and-forth exchange started after Lamas wrote “I’ve already earned (a title shot), even the champ thinks so himself.
“I have tunnel vision and the only thing I see is that belt. No one else matters.”
