Canada’s own John Makdessi earned his third straight victory with a thunderous knockout of Renee Forte at UFC 165 Saturday night from Toronto.
Makdessi (12-2) had little trouble executing his offense vs. the Brazilian, pouncing once he dropped Forte and forcing the referee to step in.
“I have been dreaming about this all my life,” Makdessi said.
When asked if he thought the stoppage came a little late, “The Bull” admitted he had no idea, saying, “my body just takes over. This is what I train for. I wouldn’t be here without my coaches, my team.”
Makdessi has rebounded from a two-fight losing skid by topping Sam Stout, Daron Cruickshank and now Forte. He owns eight knockout finishes in his career.
“I am just trying to become a complete fighter,” he said.
