Stefan Struve, the 7-foot UFC heavyweight, is headed back to the hospital next week for another series of tests on his enlarged heart and leaking aortic valve.
Struve, who has been sidelined since finding out about the condition in August, remains hopeful for good news and a promising future inside the Octagon.
“Nest week, Oct. 2nd I’m going back to the hospital for an echo and more tests,” Struve posted on Twitter. “After, the docs here will give me their view on the future.”
Struve has posted a 4-1 mark in his last five fights, pushing his overall record to 25-6. He was stopped by Mark Hunt in his most recent contest.
