Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva isn’t looking past Chris Weidman this time.
But, that doesn’t mean “The Spider” can avoid talk of super-fights.
During a recent episode of “UFC Tonight,” Silva was asked about the prospects of a future meeting with Jon Jones. The Brazilian, though, remains adamant on another Jones, that of Roy, the former boxing champion.
“No, no, no,” said Silva, in regards to facing Jon Jones. “I don’t like super fights. My super-fight is me and Roy Jones. That’s it.
“No more talk of this.”
For what it’s worth, Jon Jones mentioned being down to face either Weidman or Silva in the future if one of them wishes to move up to 205 pounds.
Silva will seek to re-claim his title this December at UFC 168 in Las Vegas.
