Former Strikeforce champion Jake Shields solved Demian Maia earlier this week.
Now, he wants a rematch with Georges St-Pierre.
Shields, who lost to GSP in his UFC debut, believes the win over Maia places him in good standing within the UFC’s welterweight division.
“I think (the victory) puts me really high,” said Shields, during the post-fight press conference. “Maia was ranked No. 4 in the world. I already have wins over Carlos Condit, Robbie Lawler.
“I want another shot at GSP.”
Shields added that he would be willing to face Condit or Rory MacDonald or “any of the top contenders.
“I just want to fight people at the top.”
Shields has now on two straight via split decision and is 3-0 with one no-contest in his last four overall.
