Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier Continue To Play Not-Nice

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier likely won’t be sitting down and enjoying a nice seafood dinner anytime soon.

Jones, who is set to face Glover Teixeira sometime in 2014, doesn’t view Cormier as much of a threat to take his belt.

Cormier is unbeaten in his MMA career and moving down from heavyweight after defeating Roy Nelson and Frank Mir this past year.

While touring Russia, Jones took to Twitter to take a quick jab at “DC,” a former Olympian.

“Their hospitality (in Dagestan) is first class nothing but hugs and smiles eating so much I’ll look like DC soon.”

It appears the use of his nickname is what set Cormier off, as he responded, “it’s much easier to talk when you know there’s two fights separating us. Keep running (your) mouth kid! Jon u can’t beat me!

“Sneak attacing on Twitter. Didn’t even mention me. He uses my initials. So weak.”

Cormier will likely need to win a fight at 205 pounds before jumping into title-contention, as Jones is slated to face Alexander Gustafsson is both win their next bouts in a rematch before moving on.
