Gian Villante has stepped in to face Cody Donovan at UFC 167 next month, replacing Robert Drysdale.
Drysdale, a jiu-jitsu master, was denied his fight license after testing positive for elevated levels of testosterone.
Villante and Donovan will be part of the prelims on November 16 from Las Vegas. The card features a main event between UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and Johny Hendricks.
Villante (10-4) suffered an interesting loss in his Octagon debut, as an eye poke ended his match with Ovince St. Preux. However, since Villante said he couldn’t see, the fight was called instead of being declared a no-contest.
Donovan (8-3) has gone 1-1 since joining the ranks of the UFC.
