Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale New Main Event Set For Three Rounds

The new main event for November 30’s The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale will not be five rounds.

Due to the short notice of change, Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard will remain a three-round contest when they compete from Las Vegas.

UFC officials announced the change Sunday after an injury forced Anthony Pettis off a December card. The removal of the UFC lightweight champion forced UFC flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez to that date.

Diaz and Maynard are meeting for a third time, with both holding a win over the other.
