UFC 167: Tyron Woodley Completely Destroys Josh Koscheck

Tyron Woodley showed the world that the hype is for real, completely knocking Josh Koscheck out Saturday night at UFC 167.

Koscheck, a former contender to the Strikeforce title, nearly stopped Koscheck early in the fight. After a straight right caught “Kos” coming in, Woodley landed another blow that left him on the canvas.

“There was no other way (besides having a brawl,” Woodley said. “We are too similar. Same reach, same background, so I knew it would be a brawl.”

Woodley (12-2) earned his second UFC victory, improving to 2-1 since moving over from Strikeforce. With the card being a celebration of the 20th anniversary, “T-Wood” wanted to make his appearance memorable.

“I watched (Koscheck) on TUF,” Woodley said. “I knew we could steal the show. This is the top UFC card of the whole year and we had the opportunity to steal the show, and we did.”
