Ronda Rousey Not Impressed With Miesha Tate, Other Than Her Physical Features

UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey doesn’t have a lot of respect for Miesha Tate – that’s been obvious since day one.

The two will collide once again this Saturday night in the co-main event of UFC 168.

Rousey, who submitted Tate to win the Strikeforce title, recently offered up her thoughts on why Tate secured a second shot at her while appearing on The Jim Rome Show.

Tate was moved into the spot originally given to Cat Zingano after Zingano suffered a knee injury in training. Rousey and Tate coached the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter opposite one another.

“She had an embarrassing and bad performance against Julie Kedzie…..she lost and got dropped by an elbow by Cat Zingano,” Rousey said. “She was getting beat pretty bad, then Cat hurt her knee. Miesha has a nice ass and an ongoing rivalry with me and that’s the only reason she was picked for this fight.”

Rousey, a former Olympian who claimed bronze in judo, continued, saying “I’m an Olympic athlete and she’s a high school wrestler.

“She has to make it personal because she can’t make it an athletic rivalry because there really is no comparison.”
