UFC Can’t Find An Opponent For Khabib Nurmagomedov

Unbeaten lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov has a problem: nobody wants to sign on the dotted line to face him.

After being linked to a February bout with Gilbert Melendez, UFC president Dana White quickly halted that. Now, White is letting it be known he is having troubles finding an opponent for the Russian.

“Nobody wants to fight Khabib, White posted on Twitter recently.

Nurmagomedov (21-0) has won all five of his UFC bouts, but has been missing in action since September. He has topped Pat Healy, Abel Trujillo, Thiago Tavares, Gleison Tibau and Kamal Shalorus inside the Octagon.

Reports of Nurmagomedov-Nate Diaz being in the works were shot down by White with the statement. The fighter himself seems to understand why he doesn’t have a fight.

“If I were in their shoes, I would do the same,” Nurmagomedov replied to White’s Twitter post.
