May 31 is going to have an international flavor to it for the UFC, as the promotion announced plans for a second show that day from Germany.
With the time differences one card – the German event – is likely to take place either in the morning or afternoon, while the Brazilian card goes down at night.
The return to Germany marks the first UFC event since 2009, when Rich Franklin topped Wanderlei Silva. Now, Silva is slated to main event the Brazilian card against Chael Sonnen.
No bouts for the German event were announced.
The UFC’s Garry Cook, in charge of UFC EMEA, also confirmed with talkSPORT that the promotion will head to Scotland on July 19 with a Fight Night card set for Dublin.
