UFC Fight Night London: Jimi Manuwa Plans To Shake Up The Rankings

In 14 professional fights, Jimi Manuwa has never gone to the distance – and never been beaten.

Manuwa will look to make it 15 straight this Saturday when he meets No. 1 contender Alexander Gustafsson in the main event of UFC Fight Night: London.

While most feel Gustafsson will roll through Manuwa, the 34-year-old plans to shock the world.

“It ends with a stoppage – violently – within the distance,” said Manuwa, during an interview on UFC Tonight, when asked how the fight goes. “I don’t think anyone’s chin can take my full power of a shot.

“Anyone can get anyone standing. It’s about landing the shot to make it effective.”

Since joining the UFC, Manuwa has earned TKO victories over Ryan Jimmo, Cyrille Diabate and Kyle Kingsbury. He owns 13 career knockout wins and one more via submission.

With his power being a well-known fact, “Poster Boy” expects Gustafsson to take a different path come fight night.

“I think he’ll try to take me down,” he said. “You never know what can happen. It’s MMA. It’s not a stand up fight. It’s not a wrestling fight. Anything can happen.”
