Daniel Cormier Declared Second In Line To UFC LHW Title

According to UFC president Dana White, Daniel Cormier is the next, next contender to the light heavyweight championship.

Replying to a fan on Twitter recently, White stated that “u will see (Cormier) against the winner of Jones/Glover vs. Gus.”

Jon Jones is set to defend his title against Glover Teixeira in April, while Gustafsson recently defeated Jimi Manuwa to cement his status as the top contender.

Cormier debuts at light heavyweight a finish over Patrick Cummins. He was slated to face Rashad Evans, but the former UFC champion went down with an injury.

The only thing that could stop “DC” from being that next, next challenger is himself. On his own Twitter page, Cormier stated a desire to compete again soon instead of waiting for a title shot.
