UFC Fight Night: Matt Brown Doesn’t Pull Any Punches

Matt Brown doesn’t pull any punches – inside the Octagon or outside of it.

Brown, who will return from a pair of herniated discs in his back later this year against Erick Silva at UFC Fight Night, wants everyone to know that anything he puts out there on social media, he means it.

“That’s how I feel,” said Brown, during an appearance on The MMA Hour. “Everything I put on Twitter, Facebook, all that (expletive), that’s all my personal feelings.

“I think I could beat any of those guys. I think I put on better performances than anybody on (UFC 171). Nobody talks about me.”

Brown was referring to a card packed with welterweights, including new champion Johny Hendricks. Hendricks topped Robbie Lawler in the main event, while other 170-pounders like Tyron Woodley and Hector Lombard scored main card victories.

Brown, 33 years old, has resurrected his career after going 1-4 between 2010 and ’11. He has won six straight, including finishes over Mike Pyle, Jordan Mein, Mike Swick, Luis Ramos and Chris Cope.

“I don’t know what I gotta do,” Brown said, when asked about receiving a title shot. “I just fight whomever they put in front of me. It’s not my choice not to fight a Top-10 guy. I don’t know what else I have to do.”
