UFC Fighter Not Ready To Step Away Just Yet

UFC

UFC fighter Dan Miller has been quiet since an early 2013 loss to Jordan Mein. That, though, doesn’t mean he is done competing.

Miller, the brother of lightweight contender Jim Miller, is targeting a return later this year to the Octagon, according to his manager.

“Dan’s back to training,” said Mike Constantino, in a recent interview with MMAjunkie.com. “I contacted Joe Silva, and we’re looking to (fight) in September. Hopefully, anywhere from September and you’ll see Dan back in the Octagon.”

Miller (14-7) has been dealing with a handful of issues, including health problems involving his son. He has split his 12 UFC bouts, going 6-6, including fights with Nate Marquardt, WSOF champion Rousimar Palhares, Michael Bisping, Demian Maia and Chael Sonnen.

Those all took place at middleweight, but his most recent appearance vs. Mein saw Miller drop down to welterweight. The first round knockout loss was the first of its kind in Miller’s 22-bout career.
