UFC 178 Fight Card: Conor McGregor Returns To U.S., Gets Dustin Poirier

Officials have moved quickly to sign Conor McGregor’s next fight, pairing “Notorious” with Dustin Poirier at UFC 178 this September.

Set for September 27 from Las Vegas, the card features Jon Jones defending his light heavyweight title against Alexander Gustafsson. Dominick Cruz and Cat Zingano will also return that night.

McGregor (15-2) is coming off a first round stoppage victory over Diego Brandao in front of his Irish fans in Dublin this past weekend. He has won all three of his UFC fights.

Poirier (16-3) sports an 8-2 overall Octagon mark, including three straight wins. He has finished two of his last three opponents and is 6-2 in his last eight overall.
