Dana White Knows He Made Mistake With Removal Of Judge

Dana White

The biggest story that came out of the recent UFC doubleheader weekend didn’t include Michael Bisping dominating Cung Le, or even Rafael dos Anjos’ stunning upset of Benson Henderson.

Instead, he centered around UFC president Dana White and his decision to remove a judge during the China-based card after two fights.

The promotion recently issued a statement regarding the manner, stating that White was out of line by removing Howard Hughes and that “no similar breach of protocol will happen again.”

White said much the same during his media scrum following a press conference in Mexico this week, saying “I got a little crazy and I overstepped my bounds. It’s not the first time. I was wrong.”

The outspoken leader of the UFC reiterated how “fired up” he gets when bad judging takes place, and with the event going down overseas, the promotion served as the regulatory body. However, that doesn’t mean White has the power to do what he did, and he recognizes that now.
