Michael Bisping went ahead and let the cat out of the bag Friday night on FOX Sports 1, announcing that he will face Luke Rockhold in the main event of UFC Fight Night 55.
Set for November 8 from the Allphones Arena in Sydney, Australia, the card is expected to air entirely on UFC Fight Pass. The only other bout announced to date is Anthony Perosh vs. Guto Inocente, though Hector Lombard is expected to fight, as well.
Bisping (25-6) and Rockhold (12-2) have gone back-and-forth in the media and at events, leading to this five-round middleweight affair.
Recently, “The Count” defeated Cung Le via finish to avoid his first-ever losing streak. Bisping has gone 3-3 in his last six after posting a four-fight win streak from 2010-11.
Rockhold has won two straight since a 2013 TKO loss to Vitor Belfort. The former Strikeforce champion won 10 of his first 11 pro bouts.
