Bellator 131: Ortiz Wants More From Bonnar

Tito Ortiz

Tito Ortiz was pleased with his victory over Stephan Bonnar Saturday night at Bellator 131, but that doesn’t mean he is finished with “The American Psycho.”

Ortiz and Bonnar engaged in plenty of verbal tirades leading up to their main event fight, and 15 minutes of action didn’t completely solve all their issues.

“If you want to get your ass kicked again, let’s do it again,” screamed Ortiz after the split decision was announced.

Earlier this year, Ortiz made his long-awaited Bellator debut and submitted then-middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko in the first round. He noted that having just a few minutes of in-ring action was an issue heading into the Bonnar fight.

“I finished Shlemenko quickly,” he said. “I got to get the rounds in to get the rust out.”

Bonnar didn’t accept or decline the chance to face Ortiz again, simply saying his decision to return “wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.

“I gave it my all,” he added. “The difference was his wrestling. He scored a couple of key takedowns; hat’s off to him.”
