UFC 182 Post: Another Stud From Team Alpha Male Wins

Add Cody Garbrandt to the list of winners who have stepped foot inside the Octagon out of the Team Alpha Male camp.

Following two-plus rounds of back-and-forth action with Marcus Brimage Saturday night at UFC 182, Garbrandt landed a perfectly-placed shot and recorded a finish in his Octagon debut. The win was the third-latest finish in the bantamweight division.

Garbrandt (6-0) has finished all six of his opponents. This one, though, came after he suffered what is believed to be a broken right hand.

“It’s all mental,” he said. “Faber tells us that all the time and I learned off him to keep throwing it until the round ends.

“I saw it in his eyes. It was my night (Saturday).”

Brimage suffered his third consecutive defeat inside the Octagon.
