Jon Jones No Longer Sponsored By Reebok

Jon Jones lost his UFC light heavyweight title Tuesday night, and his sponsorship deal with Reebok followed on Wednesday.

The apparel company announced that they have parted ways with Jones, becoming the second such company to do so as Nike previously sponsored Jones before cutting ties with him.

“In light of recent events, we have made the decision to terminate our contract with Jon Jones, effectively immediately,” a statement read from Reebok (thanks to MMAFighting.com for the statement).

Jones was charged with a felony after an alleged hit-and-run incident in New Mexico over the weekend. The UFC stripped him of his title and suspended him indefinitely Tuesday.

Interestingly enough, if Jones returns to the Octagon, he will likely be wearing Reebok merchandise. The company is set to become the official sponsor of the UFC for fight-week and fight-night clothing.
