UFC Fight Night 68: Dan Henderson’s Plan Hasn’t Changed

ufc fight night 68

Dan Henderson knows just one style when it comes to competing inside the Octagon.

The former Pride and Strikeforce champion takes on Tim Boetsch this Saturday night at UFC Fight Night 68 in the main event.

“I have to be as aggressive as I can without getting taken down,” said Henderson, during a recent appearance on UFC Tonight. “I want to stay in his face and make him work. We both like to be in the clinch, so we’ll see what happens from there.”

The 44-year-old Henderson (30-13) is coming off back-to-back losses to Gegard Mousasi and new light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. Since a 2011 TKO vs. Fedor Emelianenko, Henderson has gone just 2-5, with both victories coming over Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

Despite all that, and with talks around his retirement circling, “Hendo” doesn’t believe he’ll be leaving the sport anytime soon.

“I have three fights left on my deal and I plan on finishing that,” he said. “Beyond that, we’ll see. I didn’t get a chance in my last fight to see how i feel at middleweight.”
