ONE Championship has announced a second title fight for ONE: Dynasty of Champions (Beijing) in November, as Adriano Moraes defends his flyweight title against Kairat Akhmetov.
Set for November 21 from Beijing, China and the National Olympic Sports Centre, the card features a main event pitting featherweight champion Jadamba Narantungalag against interim champion Marat Gafurov.
Moraes (13-1) has been the lone flyweight titleholder in the division. He owns wins over Yasuhiro Urushitani, Geje Eustaquio and Asuka Mikami.
“I am looking forward to returning to the ONE cage and have been training really hard for Kairat for months,” Moraes said. “His record is impressive but I believe that my polished skill set will deter him from taking the belt. I am ready and I can’t wait to be back in action this November.”
Akhmetov (22-0) will be making his debut with ONE. He owns 18 finishes, including 13 via submission.
“I am excited to fight in Asia’s largest MMA promotion and my aim is to be the best flyweight in the world,” Akhmetov said. “I will make my debut a memorable one by capturing the title. I respect Moraes but I want nothing more than to have that belt strapped around my waist.”
