UFC Fight Night 79: Henderson On His Future

Former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson fulfilled his contract – according to multiple reports – with a win over Jorge Masvidal Saturday at UFC Fight Night 79.

What’s next for Henderson? Well, he didn’t really let on.

“Thanks for all the experiences,” he said after the Masvidal fight in Seoul, South Korea. “It was fun. I enjoyed it.

“Let’s keep doing it. Let’s keep the bus rolling.”

Henderson (23-5) has now won two straight – both at welterweight – since a pair of losses to Donald Cerrone and Rafael dos Anjos. Those two meet in December for the lightweight title.

Overall, the former WEC champion is a rock-solid 6-3 over his last nine, with the other loss being a title defeat at the hands of Anthony Pettis in 2013.

When pressed a little further about what he is going to do next, Henderson said “I’ve got a lot of improvement to do, but I’m not afraid of hard work.”
