Charles Oliveira had two words for the new UFC featherweight champion, Conor McGregor, after UFC on FOX 17 Saturday night.
“I’m coming for you,” he said, after submitting Myles Jury.
For Oliveira, though, he’ll need to get his weight under control before that happens. The Brazilian missed weight, coming in at 150 pounds. The featherweight limit is 146.
However, once the cage door closed, it was all Oliveira (21-5), as he improved to 5-1 in his last six, losing only to Max Holloway after suffering an injury less than two minutes into their August fight.
“I trained a lot to knock him out, but during the round, I got in the position where I was comfortable to work my jiu-jitsu and submit him in a guillotine,” Oliveira said. “That’s my specialty.”
Oliveira has now stopped Jury, Nik Lentz, Hatsu Hioki and Andy Ogle via submission since a 2013 loss to Frankie Edgar.
