Lightweight veterans Justin Salas and Jason Saggo have been added to the UFC 196 preliminary card, officials announced recently.
Set for March 5 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the event features a double-title night. Conor McGregor goes after the lightweight belt and Rafael dos Anjos, while Miesha Tate does the same vs. Holly Holm for bantamweight gold.
Salas (12-6) has not fought since the summer of 2014 when he suffered a loss to Joe Proctor. That snapped a five-fight win streak for the fighter, who is 3-3 over six Octagon appearances.
Saggo (10-2) is also .500 in the promotion, defeating Josh Shockley and falling to Paul Felder. Like Salas, his loss to Felder happened in 2014 and broke his five-fight win streak.
