Despite suffering a submission loss to Demian Maia recently, Matt Brown will likely fight out his MMA career with the UFC after signing a new eight-fight deal.
Brown confirmed the move with FOXSports.com recently.
A 21-fight veteran of the Octagon, Brown has gone 8-3 over his last 11, including wins over top contender Stephen Thompson and Tim Means.
The 35-year-old from Ohio is a likely choice to be on the September UFC 203 card from Cleveland. Prior to going 1-3 over his last four, Brown (20-14) had picked up wins in seven consecutive bouts.
