Bellator 162 Results: Shlemenko, Lashley With Finishes

Alexander Shlemenko wasted little time showing fans why he is still a force in the middleweight division Friday night at Bellator 162.

The former champion dominated Kendall Grove, earning a second round TKO victory in his return to the promotion after serving a suspension for a failed drug test. The main card aired live on Spike from the FedEx Forum in Memphis.

While away from Bellator and the U.S., Shlemenko did pick up a pair of wins. He continued his streak with a victory over the former UFC fighter Grove to cap the night.

In the co-main event, Bobby Lashley improved to 5-0 with Bellator by submitting Josh Appelt. The heavyweight, who also wrestles for TNA, has finished all five of his Bellator opponents.

Goiti Yamauchi submitted Ryan Couture in the first round with an armbar, while Hisaki Kato stopped A.J. Matthews, also in the first round.
