Dana White: No Headliner For Jon Jones Yet

UFC president Dana White isn’t sold on having a completely reformed Jon Jones back later this year.

After seeing Jones get himself pulled from UFC 200 last year due to taking a banned substance, White is standing firm by his remarks that “Bones” will not headline a major card upon making his return.

“If Jones fights, Jones is going to be a co-main event anyway. There’s already a co-main event on that card,” White said this past weekend. “I’d put just about everybody ahead and make them the main event. I just don’t have the faith right now that the fight’s going to happen. I don’t want to spend millions and millions of dollars again promoting a fight that doesn’t happen.”

Jones was scheduled to face Daniel Cormier last July. He was suspended after the incident by the Nevada Athletic Commission, but will be cleared to return later this year.
