Hong Man Choi Accepts Shaq’s Challenge For Super Hulk DREAM Fight

Isn’t it about time Hong Man Choi (7′2″, 320lbs) takes on someone his own size? NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal (7′1″, 325lbs) thinks so. Back in June, he challenged HMC to a fight after he retires from basketball. Today, Choi confirmed to Ariel Helwani that he would indeed fight Shaq if the opportunity presented itself. Shaq loves MMA, has been training for a long time and has joked with Dana White in the past about signing him to a UFC contract, so I tend to think Shaq wasn’t kidding.

The only missing piece is DREAM. Do we even have to ask if they’d be willing to book it? No, I don’t think we do.

Dana White On The Opie & Anthony Show & ESPN First Take (Update)

Dana White was in studio on the Opie & Anthony show as part of his NY press tour earlier this morning. He talked about UFC Undisputed, New York sanctioning, the Loretta rant and more.

Dana also appeared on ESPN’s First Take. When asked about Chuck Liddell, he didn’t immediately blurt out Chuck’s retiring like he has been. Instead, he merely said Chuck is 40, a lot of other great athletes have been 40 too. Shaq in the UFC was also discussed. Shaq apparently want to fight Brock. Dana laughed, said Shaq would need a fight under his belt first.

Update: ESPN First Take video posted after the jump.

ESPN First Take: Shaq Training In MMA

Jonathan Burke, Shaq’s trainer, teases there might be a fight coming up between Shaq and Chuck Liddell, presumably some kind of sparring match. Screw that, how about Shaq vs. Hong Man Choi? I’m sure DREAM would make a spot in their Super Hulk Tournament for him.
