Xtreme Couture reacts to Kimbo Slice getting TKO’d at EliteXC “Heat” after the jump.
There’s no denying it, Juanito Ibarra, Quinton Jackson’s former trainer, has been going through some rough times since Rampage fired him following the Forrest Griffin loss. Not only did he lose his biggest client and someone who referred to as his “son,” his reputation was dragged through the mud by allegations that he had taken money from Jackson. Not too long thereafter, his clients started jumping ship, and now he’s seemingly left with nothing in mixed martial arts. The question is, is it warranted? Did he actually overcharge Jackson by $30,000 for his training camp as Tito Ortiz alleges? Is there more to this story?

Two reports have surfaced today that suggest the highly rumored UFC 91 match-up between Wanderlei Silva and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is all but signed. According to MMACanada.net, Rampage will get his shot at UFC 91 to avenge his losses against Wanderlei Silva from 2003 and 2004. MMA Mania has a similar report up, except it states that the UFC is awaiting signed bout agreements from both parties.
Greg Jackson, you, sir, are a genius.

In numerous interviews, Quinton Jackson stated that a “betrayal” in his professional and personal life was the primary reason behind the string of bizarre events that took place the week of July 15. He refused to name the person that betrayed him, but with the firing of his trainer Juanito Ibarra, and reports of Ibarra stealing money from Quinton, it quickly became apparent who that individual was.

Last week, Team Bison, aka Brett Rogers’ camp, released one of the funniest statements we’ve ever read. In case you missed it, the statement was a reaction to the Kimbo Slice vs Ken Shamrock announcement. Rogers and his camp were obviously upset about being passed up in favor of Shamrock, and had some harsh yet hilarious words for Kimbo and Ken. Shortly thereafter, Kimbo’s camp responded with an image of Rogers flipping a tire accompanied by the words, “Don’t quit your day job,” which was a reference to Rogers days as a tire repairman.
With Rampage reportedly moving on from trainer and manager Juanito Ibarra, there was an obvious void left to fill in Jackson’s professional life. According to Fighters Only Magazine, it appears that void has been filled by the UK’s Wolfslair, home of UFC middleweight Michael Bisping.
Wolfslair owner Anthony McGann confirms the news.
“Wolfslair management has been advising Quinton over the past couple of weeks and he has decided to join the team with Michael Bisping and Paul Kelly,” said McGann.

Yesterday, we posted part three of Dana White’s video blog, which showed Dana at a restaurant with Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Well, it appears Rampage is in town for UFC 87 as he showed up at the UFC 87 pre-fight press conference which was held at the Mall of America. Rampage spoke briefly at the presser and stood up on stage in good spirits, apparently mimicking (jokingly) Dana as Dana spoke about him.
