Urijah Faber & Miguel Torres On Their Upcoming WEC Title Defenses
Urijah Faber
Urijah Faber will defend his WEC Featherweight Championship against Mike Brown at WEC 36 on September 10.
Miguel Torres will defend his WEC Bantamweight Championship on December 3. His opponent has yet to be confirmed, although Torres says there’s a good chance Manny Tapia will get the shot he was supposed to at WEC 34 before he was forced to withdraw from the fight with an injury.

WEC 35 Quick Results
WEC 35 took place earlier this evening at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card was broadcast live on Versus.
Three WEC titles were on the line tonight.
Carlos Condit put his WEC Welterweight Championship on the line against Hiromitsu Miura.
Brian Stann looked for his first successful light heavyweight title defense against a man he’s already once beaten—Steve Cantwell.
Jamie Varner also put his WEC Lightweight belt up for grabs against Marcus Hicks.
Brian Bowles, Damacio Page, John Grispi and Micah Miller were also in action.

WEC 35 will take place this Sunday night, August 3, at The Joint in The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will air live on Versus at 9PM ET/ 6PM PT.

WEC 34: Faber Vs. Pulver Results & Wrap-Up
WEC 34: Faber vs. Pulver took place tonight, June 1, in front of a packed house at the Arco Arena in Sacramento, California. Two championship fights took place in the WEC featherweight and bantamweight divisions. Jens Pulver challenged WEC Featherweight Champion, Urijah Faber for the title in what has been billed as the world’s greatest featherweight fight of all time. Bantamweight Champion, Miguel Torres, took on Yoshiro Maeda in his first title defense.

DREAM.3 & WEC 34 Fight Card Updates
Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller will be heading over to Japan in two weeks to compete on the DREAM.3 card on May 11. Mayhem will be facing former Japanese pro-wrestler Katsuyori Shibata who is currently on a three fight losing streak as a competitor in K-1 Hero’s. MMANews.com broke the story.
The WEC has announced that former WEC Bantamweight Champion, Chase Beebe, has been added to WEC 34: Faber vs. Pulver on June 1. Beebe will square off against Will Ribeiro, who will be making his WEC debut. This match is not scheduled to be televised.
WEC 34: Faber vs. Pulver Fight Card Filling Out
The WEC announced a number of fights for their June 1 event at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California. The event will be headlined by a title fight between Featherweight Champion Urijah Faber and Jens Pulver.
The card currently looks like this:
- WEC Featherweight Championship - Champion Urijah Faber vs. Jens Pulver
- WEC Bantamweight Championship - Champion Miguel Torres vs. Yoshiro Maeda

Dream.2 Middleweight Grand Prix Round 1 – April 29
Four more middleweight fights were announced in addition to the previous three. The new matchups are:

- Magomed Sultanakhmadov vs. Zelg “Benkei” Galesic
- Yoon Dong Sik vs. Shungo Oyama
- Ronaldo Jacare vs. Frank Trigg
