Here’s a highlight video of the 2010 Russian Combat Sambo Championships Fedor and Aleks Emelianenko recently competed in. With them both in the tournament, it seemed probable they would end up fighting one another at some point, but Fedor apparently injured his hand (nothing too serious) and had to withdraw. With Fedor out, Aleks was able to sweep the rest of the field rather easily. Check out Aleks below in two matches, the latter of which was him against Kiril “Baby Fedor” Sidelnikov (the guy Paul Buentello used as a punching bag at Affliction II) in the finals.

Here’s video of Aleksander Emelianenko making his boxing debut against Hizir Pliev this past weekend.

By the way, we still don’t know for sure whether or not Aleks has Hep B. I bet his opponents in all these small international shows he’s fighting in would like to know. I wonder if they even have a clue.

When Andrei Arlovski lost to Brett Rogers last month, it looks like he also lost his six-seven figure meal ticket aboard the Affliction express.

We’ve been spending so much time in recent months talking about why Aleksander Emelianenko hasn’t been able to fight in the US, I figured I would go ahead and post the video of the fight he actually just had in Russia.

Even though it still hasn’t been officially confirmed, there’s more than enough of a reasonable possibility that Aleksander Emelianenko has Hepatitis B for any sane fighter aware of the situation to want to fight him.

Some of you might remember that Paul Buentello was scheduled to face Aleksander Emelianenko during Afflictions inaugural card, only to have Aleks pulled off the card at the last minute. Though no one quite knew for sure why Fedor’s younger brother wasn’t given his chance to compete, many various rumors have been afloat.

For a man who isn’t allowed to fight in the US at least until July, and possibly ever, Antonio Silva sure keeps finding his way into headlines across the internet in recent times. In fact, three stories regarding Antonio popped up today—one quite more serious than the other two.

If Affliction Entertainment’s COO Michael D. Cohen is to be believed, any rumors of Aleksander Emelianenko fighting on Affliction’s “Day of Reckoning” card can finally be put to rest. Cohen confirmed the news in an exclusive interview with DreamFighters.com.
