—Alistair Overeem declaring to the Japanese press that he wants to fight Fedor in April 2010. Alistair wants to take a vacation after he wraps up his K-1 and DREAM fights in December. Says April is the first possible date.

DREAM.12 featuring the debut of the “White Cage” kicks off an hour after UFC 104 ends late tomorrow night at 2AM ET on HDNet. A short promo for the event is posted above along with a handful of pre-fight interviews below (the rest can be seen on DREAM’s YouTube channel). A couple final news items:

• Paulo Filho has withdrawn from the event due to visa issues. Filho’s scheduled opponent, Dong Sik Yoon, will reportedly take on Tarec Saffiedine instead.

Sengoku: Seventh Battle took place earlier today at the National Yoyogi Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

In the main event, “King Mo” Lawal looked to keep his unbeaten streak alive against Ryo Kawamura.

In an interview with FiveOuncesOfPain.com, Nick Lembo, legal counsel and the NJACB’s highest ranking official in attendance at Saturday night’s EliteXC ‘Primetime’ On CBS event, sets the record straight on the controversial fight stoppages that occurred in the event’s three biggest fights. Dr. Sherry Wulkan, the ringside physician, followed up with Five Oz. editor Sam Caplan for further clarification. The referee for the Kimbo Slice/James Thompson bout, Dan Miragliotta, commented on why he stopped the fight despite James Thompson still being on his feet.

Ariel Helwani of MMARated.com is the man. He was everywhere in the past two days covering the EliteXC event and got video of the scuffle between Brett Rogers and Kimbo Slice at the post-fight press conference. It was cool of the fighters, Robbie Lawler and Phil Baroni, to step in and break it up.

Mixed martial arts made its primetime network television debut on CBS tonight with EliteXC ‘Primetime.’ It was a historical night that had its shining moments, yet I’m highly disappointed in most of what I saw.
