We’re a week away from the big fight, so expect to see a ton of articles, videos, promotion etc. for Couture vs. Lesnar across the web this week. For starters, here’s Randy and Brock on the cover of Flex Magazine. MMA Junkie has two articles up today recapping a UFC 91 media conference call. Here’s a couple quotes.

Shogun Wants Revenge
Apparently, time doesn’t heal all wounds, or more appropriately, bury all grudges. On Jan. 17, Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua will get the opportunity to avenge his loss from 2006 against Mark Coleman at UFC 93. As you probably already know, at PRIDE 31 Shogun broke his arm when he used it to brace his fall from a Coleman take down, thus resulting in the loss. Two and half years later, Shogun says he still has a score to settle. It wasn’t so much how he lost, but what Coleman apparently said behind his back, as he tells Fighters Only Magazine.

UFC Officially Announces UFC 93 In Dublin, Ireland; Rich Franklin & Dan Henderson To Headline (Update)
That was quick. Often times, it’s weeks or even months before the UFC makes an official announcement regarding news that breaks early across the net. Like Randy Couture’s return to the Ocatagon, however, that’s not the case with reports from yesterday that suggested the UFC would be heading to Dublin, Ireland on Jan. 17 to hold UFC 93. The UFC made it official on UFC.com earlier this morning.
The UFC Reportedly Heading To Dublin, Ireland For UFC 93; Rich Franklin Possibly Headlining
It looks like the UFC is holding two events in January again next year. According to a report Yahoo! EuroSport, the UFC is headed to the O2 Arena in Dublin, Ireland on Jan. 17 to hold UFC 93. The Super Bowl weekend event which is believed to be headlined by the GSP vs. BJ Penn II mega fight would become UFC 94.
It appears they already have a few names in mind for the trip to Ireland.

Rampage Jackson on Forrest: ‘I’ve lost respect for him as a man’; Wandy Fight Unlikely
With Quinton Jackson having a clearer picture of his legal situation, he’s now looking towards getting back in the Octagon as soon as possible. It’s still unknown who his next opponent will be, although Wanderlei Silva and Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua seem to be at the top of the list of potential opponents.

Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua Comments On December Return & The Possibility Of Facing Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson
In an article today at Tatame.com, Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua elaborated on comments he recently made during a training session in regards to fighting Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson at UFC 92 in December.
“I’m back to training. I’m doing some Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu stuff, and thanks God everything is fine now. I’ll be back in December… They said that I might fight with Quinton Jackson, but nothing has been signed yet. They (UFC) called me and offered a fight with him and I accepted, but they didn’t say anything else more.”
The fact that Rua hasn’t heard back from the UFC regarding the potential fight could be attributed to rumors of the UFC trying to book Rampage in a rematch against Shogun’s former Chute Boxe teammate, Wanderlei Silva at UFC 91 in November.
Rua is aware of Jackson’s recent troubles, and acknowledges that it could pose a problem to making the fight, but he wants the match if Rampage is ready.
“It surely can be a problem, but I want him back in December and against me, and I believe he can be back.”
Whether Quinton’s next opponent turns out to be ‘The Axe Murderer’ or ‘Shogun,’ it will be a huge opportunity to avenge a major loss from his past. Either matchup will be one you don’t want to miss.
Wanderlei Silva vs Rampage Jackson III To Headline UFC 91?
Wanderlei Silva’s return to the Octagon has been rumored about literally every single month from September to December. The story seems to change every week. Rumors of Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson’s next fight have been nearly as erratic. Last we heard, Silva and Jackson would both be competing on the UFC’s New Year’s Eve show, although not against each other. Silva’s opponent had yet to be determined, and Jackson’s opponent was going to be Silva’s former Chute Boxe teammate, Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua, at least according to Rua.

Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua: Likely Fighting ‘Rampage’ Jackson In December
It’s unnecessary to watch after the 50 second mark.
Shogun Rua through his translator:
“Most likely right now it’s looking like it’s Quinton Jackson.”
This is actually quite surprising. With the Mark Coleman rumors, I thought the UFC was going to throw Shogun a bit of a softball for his first fight back from two knee surgeries. Also figured if they were going to put Rampage in the ring with one of the guys who’s dismantled him before, it would be Wandy. Guess not. It’s a huge fight if it happens.
