Wanderlei Silva UFC 110 Post-Fight Victory Training Montage

Wanderlei Silva may not go balls out that much in fights anymore, but he damn sure does in training. Who wants to be his sparring partner? Mayhem didn’t look like he was having much fun.

Rampage Explains His Beef With Wanderlei Silva

Rampage Jackson talks to Fighter’s Only about his rivalry with Wanderlei Silva. Rampage says he was a fan of Silva before they ever fought, and always like Wanderlei, but for some reason Wand never like him. He says he’d like to fight him two more times to get back his losses, but since Wand is a middleweight now he’ll just consider them even because his knockout was better than Wanderlei’s previous two. Yeah, I’m not so sure about that. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a knockout as epic as this one.

Wanderlei Silva Feels Good As A Middleweight

With the Wand-Bisping storyline front and center entering UFC 110, it’s easy to overlook the fact that Wanderlei Silva is making his middleweight debut Saturday night. There’s questions surrounding the move. Will he lose any of his power? Will he be weakened or sluggish fighting at a weight he’s never fought at before? We won’t know for sure until Saturday, but Wand says he feels good fighting at 185 lbs. and the cut won’t be an issue.

“In these last days of my training I’ll lose my last weight,” Silva told the Cumberland Courier. “I feel good. This morning I weighed 89 kilos (196 pounds) and I’ll lose my last kilos this week before they check my weight Saturday.”

“I’ll fight in both divisions, 185 and 205,” Silva said. “I feel good. That’s a choice for the boss, where Dana wants me to fight. It’s no problem.”

It’s a move that’s supposed to reinvigorate his career. As a huge Wand fan, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about the weight and the match-up.

Wand & Bisping Heat Up The UFC 110 Pre-Fight Press Conference

It wasn’t the most epic trash-talking you’ve ever heard, but Wanderlei Silva and Michael Bisping definitely made the UFC 110 pre-fight press conference a little more interesting than it would have been without them. They’ve tried to keep it civil over the past couple months, but the animosity has been slowly building and finally came to a head.
