UFC 89 ‘Bisping vs Leben’ Promotional Trailer; Lyoto Machida Off Card

This is obviously the pre-Thiago Silva injury trailer. With Silva hurt and Lyoto Machida not having an opponent for UFC 89, it appears the UFC has elected to pull him off the card instead of finding a replacement. There’s a few rumors going around as to who his next opponent might be. Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua has been the highest profile name mentioned, and MMARated.com is suggesting it may even be someone making their UFC debut.

Michael Bisping & Chris Leben To Headline UFC 89 UK Event

The UFC’s head of the UK, Marshall Zelaznik, has announced that TUF alum Michael Bisping and Chris Leben will headline UFC 89, which is scheduled to take place on October 18 in Birmingham, England. Bisping and Leben were originally scheduled to compete at UFC 85 until Leben was forced to withdraw due to a stint in the slammer. Leben was replaced by Jason Day, who Bisping easily dispatched in the first round.
A bout between “The Ultimate Fighter 3″ winner Michael Bisping (16-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) and veteran UFC middleweight Chris Leben (18-4 MMA, 8-3 UFC) will headline a recently announced UFC 89 event.
Marshall Zelaznik, the head of the UFC’s UK division, made the announcement this week on Setanta News Ultimate Talk Show, a weekly UFC news show that airs on the U.K.’s Setanta Television.
