Joe Doerksen is the latest fighter to be cut from the UFC in their efforts to reduce their talent roster, as reported by Sportsnet.ca. Doerksen last fought at UFC 83 in Montreal in a losing effort against Jason MacDonald. It was Doerksen’s third loss in a row in a Zuffa-owned promotion. Doerksen was defeated by Ed Herman at UFC 78 and Paulo Filho at WEC 29 in his previous outings.

Well, what was supposed to happen happened. Georges St. Pierre came prepared this time, and he rectified what was perhaps the biggest of all of last year’s upsets. In the UFC’s trip to first trip to Canada, GSP set the MMA world right again and defeated Matt Serra, in dominant fashion. St. Pierre is the undisputed UFC Welterweight Champion.
