The UFC held a press conference for UFC 90 today in Chicago. MMARated.com has a few of the highlights.

* Dana White announced that Mike Swick will be added to the card but stopped short at saying who his opponent will be.

Anderson Silva To Defend His UFC Middleweight Championship Against Patrick Cote At UFC 90

Anderson SilvaIt was no secret that Patrick Cote would get next crack at Anderson Silva’s middleweight title after Yushin Okami broke his hand. It was just a question of where and when. It had been rumored for one of three events—UFC 88, UFC 89 or UFC 90.

Well, that question has finally been answered as Dana White confirmed today that the Silva/Cote fight will happen at UFC 90 in Chicago on October 25.

Forrest Griffin At UFC 86 Weigh-InsDave Meltzer was able to find out how the judges scored the UFC 86 main event.

Adalaide Byrd who scored it 48-46, gave 4 and 5 to Jackson and Griffin 1, 2 and 3 with 2 as 10-8

Nelson Hamilton had it 48-46 with 1 and 4 for Jackson, and Griffin getting 2 10-8

Roy Silbert had it 49-46 with only round 4 for Jackson.

UFC 86: Jackson vs Griffin took place this evening at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The UFC Light Heavyweight Championship was on the line for the first time since September 2007. Forrest Griffin tried to become the first “Ultimate Fighter” to be crowned champion in the UFC by taking on champ, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson.

Ricardo Almeida and Patrick Cote battled it out in a clash of styles for a possible shot at UFC middleweight gold.

Josh Koscheck tried to stay in the title hunt by taking out the always tough Chris Lytle.

Tyson Griffin went out to prove that his name should be talked about in the UFC lightweight title picture with a match against submission artist Marcus Aurelio.

Joe Stevenson looked to get back on track after a devastating loss to BJ Penn at UFC 80 for the then vacant UFC Lightweight Championship.
