DREAM.12 Post-Fight Interviews: Alistair Overeem Wants Fedor In April

“I want all of you to write this down. I want to fight Fedor. Alistair Overeem wants to fight Fedor in April 2010, write that down. I don’t care [where]. Maybe in DREAM, maybe in Strikeforce, I don’t care. I’d rather in DREAM, but Strikeforce is also okay.”

—Alistair Overeem declaring to the Japanese press that he wants to fight Fedor in April 2010. Alistair wants to take a vacation after he wraps up his K-1 and DREAM fights in December. Says April is the first possible date.

DREAM.6 Results & Wrap-Up

DREAM.6 PosterDREAM.6 took place earlier today at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

It was the finals of the DREAM middleweight grand prix. Four fighters—Gegard Mousasi, Melvin Manhoef, Zelg Galesic, and Ronaldo Jacare—battled it out in the semi-finals with the winners coming back at the end of the show to fight for the grand prix championship.

Mirko Cro Cop was back in action for the second time this year. He didn’t get a softball this time around though. Instead, he looked to end months of trash talking from the always dangerous Alistair Overeem.

Shinya Aoki, Hayato ‘Mach’ Sakurai, Yoshihiro Akiyama, and Sergei Kharitonov were also in action.
