War Machine has posted a new entry on his MySpace blog in response to all the “flack” he’s received from a post he made last week regarding Evan Tanner’s death, which later contributed to his dismissal from the UFC. His response is interesting to say the least. Here it is in it’s entirety.
War Machine Responds To Criticism For Evan Tanner Post
The UFC Gives War Machine The Boot
Here’s a surprise. The fighter who legally changed his name to War Machine made some completely inappropriate comments about Evan Tanner’s death, turned down a fight when he’s in no position to do so, and subsequently gets cut from the UFC because of it.
Apparently, following the breaking news of Evan Tanner’s death, without knowing the full story, War Machine made a controversial posting on his MySpace blog suggesting Tanner may have committed suicide because his fighting career might have been over and he didn’t have any money to show for what he had accomplished. (Thanks to CagePotato for the full posting)

My Friends Call Me Jon. You Can Call Me War Machine.
Let Me Introduce You To War ‘War Machine’ Machine
A lot of fighters have done a lot of stupid things before, but I have to say this one at least makes the top five. The mixed martial artist formerly known as Jon Koppenhaver, has legally changed his name to his nickname, ‘War Machine.’ Even better is why he did it. Machine explains on his MySpace blog.
