ESPN MMA Live: Kenny Florian Talks Win & BJ Penn

It was a smart move by Kenny Florian to call out BJ Penn last night. It makes him that much harder to ignore. Here’s to hoping Penn doesn’t decide a title defense against Florian isn’t big enough.

ESPN MMA Live: UFC 91 Post-Fight With Brock Lesnar

I watched nearly all of MMA Live’s “live” coverage of UFC 91, and I have to say, besides a few technical difficulties in the post-fight show, their coverage was outstanding. Hopefully, enough people tuned in to convince them to do this for every UFC and every other major MMA event moving forward. And better yet, hopefully the coverage finds it way onto television.

The MMA Live crew gives their final thoughts on Brock Lesnar’s win after the jump.

ESPN MMA Live: UFC 91 Preview (Update)

Quick update: Haven’t had a chance to watch this yet, but MDS pulled this very interesting quote from John Anik’s interview with Dana White.

“I wouldn’t be opposed to it,” White said of promoting Carano vs. Cyborg. “And if I did do it, I’d probably do it in the WEC.”

Considering the WEC’s only real star just lost in dramatic fashion with plans for pay-per-view right around the corner, promoting women’s MMA with Carano and Cyborg might not be a bad idea at all.

ESPN’s MMA Live At UFC 91

I think there’s more pressure on the newcomer. It’s almost a lose-lose for him you know. If he wins he just beat a 45 year old man that most people think should have quit. If I win, he got beat by that guy, so it’s kind of a lose-lose for Brock.

-Randy Couture, possibly hinting that his age finally has caught up to him?
