Fox News Fight Game: Affliction’s Tom Atencio
Ever since Tom Atencio burst into the spotlight earlier this year, he’s always been the nice guy when dealing with the media. You could always tell it was something new for him to be fielding questions from reporters, and it often resulted in a lot of contradictions and confusion. He was essentially the opposite of Dana White, and while his contradictions will probably keep happening unless Affliction can actually get their shit together, you may notice in this round table interview that his nice guy attitude is starting to change. Tom is finally growing a pair. He basically calls out nearly every member of the Fox New Fight Game panel for comments they made about Affliction on a previous round table. Good stuff, Tom. A fight promoter doesn’t need to take it to the extreme Dana does, but they do have to have a little fight in them and that’s just not something I’ve seen out of him before. Keep it up, Tom.

Fox News Fight Game: Who’s On Your Super Fight Wish List?
Dana White joins the Fox News Fight Game roundtable discussion to talk about super fights and UFC competition.
Who’s on super fight wish list? If we’re talking about fantasy match-ups, I’d love to see Fedor vs. Anderson. Their natural weight is close enough. Too bad it’ll never happen though, because it sure would be nice to put all the talk of who’s better to bed.

NBCSports.com MMA Fight Weekly: Brock Lesnar
Mike Chiappetta and Tiffany Simons from NBCSports.com take a look at Brock Lesnar following his win against Randy Couture at UFC 91. More on Brock from Fox News Fight Game after the jump.
UFC To Adjust Ticket Prices Due To Poor Economy
How the bad economy is affecting MMA (specifically the UFC) has been a hot topic of discussion lately. The UFC has reportedly been feeling the effects with lagging ticket sales for UFC 91 and UFC 92. They’re partly to blame though with very ambitious price points, but according to Dana White in this video, they will be correcting that. As for pay-per-view price, sorry, that is staying the same.
Fox News Fight Game: Roundtable Discussion of Couture vs Lesnar
The topic of Randy Couture vs. Brock Lesnar is a hot one these days. The fight is less than two weeks away and everyone has an opinion on which way they think it’s going to go. Can Randy’s experience triumph over Lesnar’s freakish size, strength, and quickness? That’s the question everyone is asking, but I say the fight isn’t going to be decided by any of those factors. Unless Randy’s clock has finally stopped ticking at age 45, I believe it’s going to come down to the most underrated aspect of mixed martial arts—intelligence and game planning. When it comes to MMA, with the exception of Fedor, there isn’t a fighter smarter inside the cage, who can develop and execute a game plan like Randy Couture can. If Brock had years of experience, a significant number of fights under his belt, and his skills were much further developed, then I’m not sure even the best game plan Randy could come up with would be enough, but that isn’t the case. While Lesnar may have smashed Herring for three rounds, it was still apparent that Lesnar has a lot to learn.
Randy will find a way to win this fight. I have no doubt about that.
