Still haven’t heard anything back yet on Josh Barnett’s B sample, but word is finally coming out of the Barnett camp on the situation. Basically, he denies he ever knowingly took any steroids, believes the documentation of the sample that tested positive raises serious questions about its validity, and was extremely disappointed to learn that his test failure caused Affliction to make the “hasty” decision to cancel their event.

The first piece of good news has surfaced since Affliction “Trilogy” was canceled.

Josh Barnett’s positive steroid test didn’t just ruin Affliction’s main event, it appears it single-handily managed to bring the entire event down too. Instead of securing a replacement to fight Fedor, Affliction has decided to scrap the event altogether.

Vitor Belfort talks to RawVegas.tv about his potential fight against Fedor Emelianenko. Still no news. Gotta wonder much longer this can go on before a decision is made about who’s fighting Fedor. At some point relatively soon you would think Vitor would need to know whether he’s gaining 10 pounds or losing 20, right?

Vitor Belfort’s camp is gung-ho on him fighting Fedor. His trainer, Shawn Tompkins says it’s no-lose situation for Vitor, and he has the boxing and speed to take Fedor out.

By the way, Tank Abbott wants to fight Fedor too. And Jeff Monson (the only legitimate opponent mentioned here).
