IFL: Nelson vs. Imes Results

IFL: Nelson vs. ImesThree championship belts were on the line in the IFL last night at the Mohegan Sun. One of those belts changed hands.

IFL Heavyweight Champion, Roy Nelson, successfully defended his title against heavyweight challenger Brad Imes. Nelson dominated Imes on the feet to pick up a quick TKO victory in the first round. Ryan Schultz, IFL Lightweight Champion, defeated Devidas Taurosevicius via unanimous decision to retain his title. IFL Middlweight Champion, Ryan McGivern, did not fair as well in his title defense against Dan Miller. Miller secured a kneebar in the first round to become the new IFL Middlweight Champion.

IFL Fight Card Update; IFL’s Future In Jeopardy

IFL LogoThe IFL announced several fights which will fill out their May 19 event in Connecticut at the Mohegan Sun.

The announced fights are:

  • Aaron Stark vs. Lamont Lister
  • Nick Calandrino vs. John Howard
  • Joey Guel vs. Matt Horwich
  • Zac George vs. Josh Souder
  • Fabricio Camoes vs. Jim Miller
  • Danillo Villefort vs. Mike Massenzio

The event will also feature three IFL title fights:
