Diego Sanchez Talks Guida, Title Shot And His Ex (Once Again) Ali Sonoma

Coming off his extremely exciting victory over Clay Guida, Diego Sanchez is all about getting a title shot at BJ Penn or Kenny Florian. He’s even ready to step in at UFC 101 in case BJ Penn can’t make it, which Cofield hints could be a possibility. Diego also talks about splitting up with former Octagon girl Ali Sonoma to concentrate on getting the title. How many times have they broken up now?

 

TUF 9 Finale Fighter Payouts

MoneyThe NSAC has released the fighter payouts for the TUF 9 Finale. Keep in mind, these figures represent the base contracted pay the fighter receives from the promotion. These figures do not include any additional “locker room” bonuses or sponsorship money, which in many cases exceeds a fighter’s base pay. These numbers also do not account for taxes, insurance, and license fees.

The TUF 9 Finale took place earlier this evening at The Pearl at the Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In the night’s main event, Diego Sanchez and Clay Guida met in a high-paced lightweight match-up.

DaMarques Johnson and James Wilks battled it out to win the contract in the welterweight division.

Kevin Burns squared off against Chris Lytle.

Andre Winner and Ross Pearson fought for the TUF contract in the lightweight division.

Joe Stevenson looked to pick himself up a win against the always tough Nate Diaz.

TUF 9 Finale Weigh-In Results & Video

The TUF 9 Finale weigh-ins took place earlier today at the Key West Ballroom at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.

All fighters made weight with the exception of Mike Ciesnolevicz who missed weight by two pounds. Ciesnolevicz will forfeit 20% of his base pay to his opponent, Tomasz Drwal. Also, Diego Sanchez gets the award for the most intense fighter in MMA. Get a better look at the Sanchez-Guida staredown after the jump. Looks like Diego’s head is going to explode.
