There’s one channel I skip right through without fail when I’m watching TV and that’s the Discovery Health network. They’re always showing one surgical procedure or another. I’m not terribly squeamish, but it’s just too much for me to watch a doctor tinker with someone’s brain fully exposed in crystal-clear HD. I was never meant to be a doctor, that’s for sure. Anyways, if you’re like me, you’ll probably want to skip this video of the special procedure Miguel Torres went through to properly fix that nasty gash Joseph Benavidez opened up on his forehead at WEC 47. It’s not the worst thing you’ll ever see, but you do get a better look at Miguel’s skull than you probably ever wanted.

Versus Back On DirecTV In Time For UFC This Weekend

It’s official. DirecTV subscribers will be able to watch UFC on Versus 1 in the comfort of their own homes this Sunday night.
DIRECTV and Comcast have reached an agreement to return VERSUS to the DIRECTV programming lineup today. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We look forward to super-serving these fans with NHL regular-season and playoff coverage, our first live UFC event and much more.”
VERSUS will return to the same DIRECTV programming packages it was in at the end of August 2009.“We are pleased that both sides were able to work out a satisfactory deal to bring this programming back to our customers,” said Derek Chang, executive vice president, Content Strategy and Development, DIRECTV.
“We’re excited that we were able to come to a fair agreement that puts VERSUS back in millions of homes with DIRECTV in time for our busy spring programming schedule,” said Jamie Davis, president of VERSUS. “We look forward to super-serving these fans with NHL regular-season and playoff coverage, our first live UFC event and much more.”
The press release didn’t mention anything about Versus now being on a premium sports tier like previous reports suggested, so you may want to double check with DirecTV before Sunday rolls around in case you’re getting nothing but a black screen. Versus should already be back in your channel guide.
