Ever since the UFC signed a deal with the leading sponsor in sports today, Bud Light, it was inevitable that its top stars would sign endorsement deals with them too. Well, the inevitable has happened as Chuck Liddell and Anderson Silva have both signed on with Anheuser-Busch as official spokesman.
Silva’s manager, Ed Soares, broke the news on MMAWeekly Radio.
“We just finalized a deal with Anheuser-Busch. Him (Silva) and Chuck Liddell are going to be spokespeople for Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch here in the U.S.”
Liddell also commented on his sponsorship deal.
“It’s great. It’s really nice that these companies are getting behind MMA. Bud Light’s been around a long time. I think it’s a great sponsor to have.”
Is there really a better athlete than Liddell for Bud Light to get behind? He definitely has the look. No offense Chuck, I’m just saying.
Keep a watchful eye out for life size cutouts of Liddell and Silva in liquor and grocery stores near you.
