Guess what? It looks like the ridiculously long rumored Wanderlei Silva vs. Quinton Jackson III blockbuster has been moved again. Most recently, Jackson’s new training camp’s co-owner, Anthony McCann of the UK-based Wolfslair, stated that UFC 91 in November was too soon for the fight to take place for either camp. Despite multiple reports to the contrary, it appears that may be the case.
According to Kevin Iole, it’s now looking like the fight may take place on Super Bowl weekend at UFC 93.
A very good source told me on Tuesday he expects Jackson and Silva to fight Jan. 31 (Super Bowl weekend) in Las Vegas in UFC 93. It’s a very fluid situation, but it’s almost certain it won’t happen in November and it’s very unlikely for December.
This is starting to enter “I’ll believe it when I see it” territory.
